4a. Georg Johann Theodor Engellenner (1822–?)

In 1845, Georg works as a servant and lives togehter with a farmer in Poppholz (Sieverstedt). He is not married. Ten years later, however, he has got a family. He lives in Glücksburg. His wife is Anna Margarethe Petersen (* 1817), she is from Sörup. The couple has two children:

  • Maria Engellenner (born in Sörup around 1849)
  • Christina Maria Engellenner (born around 1852 in either Sønderborg (according to the 1855 census) or in Munkbrarup (according to the 1860 census))

It seems, the family is moving from place to place quite often. Only a year later, in 1856, they are in Iller, a small place near Broager. Georg is now a worker in a brickyard. Perhaps it is the factory Cathrinesminde near Iller. However, it can also be one of the other nearby factories. In 1856, the family gets another daughter:

  • Anna Maria Catharina Engellenner (1856–?)

In 1872, their second child Christina Maria marries the “Inste” Nicolai Marcus Holm (* 1849) from Rendbjerg. Her father Georg is listed in the marriage record of the parish as “Inste” from Sandvig (near Iller). It seems, the daughter needs to marry, since a child is under way. Still in the same year, Christina Maria gives birth to a son who gets the name of his father: Nicolai Marcus. The father himself had already inherited his name from his onw father.
