4b. Julius Christian Engellenner (1848–1890)

Julius Christian (* 2nd March 1848, + 26th July 1890) marries Anna Magdalena Catharina Tamsen. They get children:

  • Marie Adolfine Engellenner (1882–1972)
  • Adolf Johannes Engellenner (1886–1961)

Marie moves to Husum after she has married the printer Claus Friedrich Röschmann (1876–1960) 1903 in Schleswig. Adolf becomes a butcher, stays in Schleswig for his whole life and together with his wife Dora Katharina Hansen (* 8. April 1891, + 1971) they get 8 children. One of them (i.e. a grandson of Ernst Christian Bartholin) is Karl Heinz Engellenner (* 18.2.1926, + 24. Februar 2005). His granddaughter Ashley (who lives in California!) says that Karl Heinz had to be a Hitlerjunge as a child. In a concentration camp, he met his later wife Lilly and smuggled bread to her. They probably married after the war and emigrated to California in 1954. This is the second time that the name Engellenner reached California and stayed there.
